Milad Tower – Tehran
The Milad Tower of Tehran is a long-standing structure and is one of the symbols of Tehran alongside the Azadi Tower and the Nature Bridge. The Milad Tower Tehran is a structure with a height of 435 meters, culminating in an 11-year-old attempt, that shines like a jewel in the capital of Iran. This structure is the tallest tower in Iran and is also known as the world’s sixth tallest telecommunication structure.

Location of The Milad Tower Tehran
Milad Tower complex with a 4.74-hectare area is located on Nasr hills. The approximate area of the hills is 62 hectares and is located in the south of Shahrak-e-Gharb and north of Kuye-Nasr (Gisha), which is surrounded by a highway network in the northwest of Tehran. This tower is north of Hemmat highway, south to Hakim highway, east to Chamran highway and west to Sheikh Fazlullah highway. The height of the tower is 1444 meters above sea level, and it is interesting that the Hakim highway is placed 60 meters below the level of the tower.
How was The Milad Tower Tehran built?
With the need to create a new and entertaining atmosphere, the construction of a national symbol concerning the ability of Iranian engineers and the elimination of telecommunication and television problems, officials were thinking of building a complex; but the construction of this symbol was not so easy and included multiple challenges.
Location selection of The Milad Tower Tehran
In the year 1991, it was proposed to build a tower for Tehran. Seventeen locations were proposed for the tower, after which the current location was ultimately chosen. In 1994, studies began on the construction site of the tower. Subsequently, a group including the Urban Development Team, the TV, Telecommunication, Road and Building Studies, Economics, Architecture, Meteorology, Traffic Team, and Geotechnical Team conducted a survey on four points including Abbas Abad Hills, Levizan, Yousef Abad And Kuye Nasr from the 17 suggested locations. Finally, Kuye Nasr was selected.
The use of The Milad Tower Tehran
The Milad Tower Tehran was built to create a great structure and as a symbol for Tehran. This tower is not only a tourist and recreational attraction, but is also used in the following:
Facilitating and expanding wireless communications at Tehran level, optimising and expanding the coverage of radio and television (VHF / UHF / FM), establishing digital television infrastructure (DVB / MVDS), weather, and traffic control are of the technical uses of the Milad Tower Tehran.
